Australia and the United Arab Emirates have elevated their relationship to a Strategic Partnership, announced during Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s visit to Abu Dhabi.
This step marks 50 years of diplomatic relations and comes as the Australia-UAE CEPA trade deal enters into force Wednesday 1 October 2025.
Together, these frameworks will strengthen cooperation in:
– Trade and investment
– Renewable and green energy
– Critical minerals, infrastructure and technology
– Education, research and climate action
For businesses, this translates to increased opportunities across multiple sectors, with the CEPA providing the platform to reduce barriers and expand connections.
