The Australia UAE Business Council welcome the commencement of a new Joint Venture between Masdar and Tribe Infrastructure Group.
The commencement of the new business opportunity was celebrated this week at concurrent signing ceremonies, attended in Abu Dhabi by Mr Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi (CEO of Masdar) and Mr Peter McCreanor (CEO of Tribe Infrastructure Group), and in Sydney by the Hon Christopher Pyne (Co-Chair of the Australia UAE Business Council) and His Excellency Abdulla Al Subousi (UAE Ambassador to Australia).
Australian Co-Chair of the Australia UAE Business Council, the Hon Christopher Pyne, noted the economic and environmental impact that the Joint Venture would have on creating Australian jobs and reducing landfill.
“Tribe and Masdar have the distinction of being the first companies to ink contracts that actively engage in business activity in Australia as part of the Australia UAE Business Council,” said Mr Pyne.
“Australia and the UAE have very strong connections, and the joint venture agreement between Masdar and Tribe for turning waste into energy is only the beginning of the relationship that the two companies will have across Australia.
“In acknowledging the commencement of this new partnership, we also recognise the significant investment from the United Arab Emirates into Waste to Energy initiatives in Australia, which will not only strengthen our business ties but also reduce the amount of waste going to landfill and create jobs in Australia.
“Many local Councils are looking for more efficient and smarter ways to manage household and commercial waste, and this joint venture will establish and grow an Australian business to help do just that.”
